Shanti Celeste is an artist that needs little introduction for most electronic heads. Having been described as “the quintessential party DJ”, the Chilean born, UK based artist moves between Detroit techno, jacking deep house and the odd vocal banger for good measure. Shanti is now a Rio regular, so we couldn’t think of anyone better to soundtrack our 8th birthday.

Keeping the Latina power lineup for our 8th birthday celebrations firmly on track, we are delighted to host Venezuela’s Mari.te for her Rio debut. Resolute NYC resident and b2b partner of our pal Liquid Earth, Mari.te specialises in groovy house, tech house and breaks that is irresistible on a dance-floor.

Residents Mavvi and Chapu will be opening up proceedings, whilst Benny is back on sunrise duty to close out what is set to be a very special birthday celebration indeed

For our September bash, we invite house & tech house don Voigtmann to the Rio for the first time.

With releases on the likes of 20:20 Vision, Alternate Facts and Half Baked, Voigtmann is an excellent producer of dance-floor fodder. However it's behind the decks where he truly shines. Catch him making his debut in September.

Also on hand are friends Rocco Baroco and Asterion. Playing a smorgasbord of minimal, tech house and all things groove, these Bogotá boys are reliable in making you move. Residents Samm and Inmorales will be on hand to open and close proceedings in classic Rio fashion
